Philanthropic Institution Support

BAIKUNTHAPUR TARUN SANGHA
As the world becomes more interconnected, the role of philanthropy in addressing societal challenges is amplified. At BTS, we recognize the potential of collaborating with both Indian and International philanthropic institutions to further our mission and amplify our impact.

Support from Indian Philanthropic Institutions:

Cultural Alignment

Local philanthropic bodies inherently understand the socio-cultural fabric of our communities, allowing for initiatives that are culturally sensitive and relevant.

Logistical Benefits

Being in proximity, collaboration becomes more streamlined, facilitating faster on-ground implementation and monitoring.

Networks & Partnerships

These institutions often have established networks within India, which can be leveraged for wider outreach and collaboration.

Support from International Philanthropic Institutions:

Global Best Practices

International institutions bring with them a wealth of experience from varied contexts, introducing global best practices and innovative solutions.

Financial Support

They often have substantial resources at their disposal, enabling significant financial backing for large-scale projects.

Cross-border Collaborations

International philanthropies can facilitate collaborations with NGOs and experts from other countries, fostering an exchange of knowledge and resources.

Programmes, Praxis Institute for Participatory Practices

BTS has built several community groups in Banashyamnagar and Achintyanagar to discuss issues within their community. Adolescents learn about a range of issues such as gender and sexuality, child protection, life skills, rights available to them, menstruation and related taboos and more. Marginal farmers have explored ways of addressing water shortage in agriculture and received trainings in setting up nutrition gardens. Communities also strengthen the embankments by planting and preserving mangroves. The BTS team on the ground is sensitive to the needs of the people around them and are always keen to learn new things and share their learnings with the other members of the consortium.
