However, hope dawned upon Kakoli when she was introduced to a transformative opportunity under the Amplifying Community Voices program, supported by Oak Foundation and implemented by BTS.
Recognizing Kakoli’s potential, the program provided her with specialized training in mushroom cultivation over a span of two days. Armed with newfound knowledge and determination, Kakoli embarked on her journey into the world of mushroom farming. With the support of the program, she received mushroom seeds and essential resources necessary for cultivation.
Despite her initial apprehensions, Kakoli’s dedication bore fruit as she successfully harvested 2.5 kgs of nutritious mushrooms. Not only did she utilize this bounty for domestic consumption, but she also generously shared her harvest with the community, introducing them to the nutritional value and delectable taste of mushroom dishes.
