Cyclone Remal - Disaster Response

BAIKUNTHAPUR TARUN SANGHA

Help the Sundarbans Rebuild After Cyclone Remal

The Sundarbans, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, faces cyclone-like disasters almost every year. This relentless cycle of natural calamities leaves villagers in a state of severe vulnerability, as they repeatedly lose their homes and see their agricultural fields destroyed and flooded.
One of the recent terrible events was Cyclone Remal, which hit the area with great force. Cyclone Remal caused a lot of damage, knocking down trees, breaking embankments, and flooding large areas of farmland. Many homes were destroyed, and the already weak infrastructure collapsed under the strong winds and heavy rains. The impact of Cyclone Remal made life even harder for the people of the Sundarbans, who are constantly trying to rebuild their lives despite the ongoing threat of natural disasters.
