Women Empowerment & Microfinance Empowerment of the down-trodden women in our operational area is one of BTS’ key focus areas and we have been organizing series of awareness generation programmes round the year on this issue. BTS has been working for the promotion of Self Help Groups (SHGs) of the women of our area since 1999. So far 205 nos. of SHGs of women have already been formed. Our target beneficiaries are the women from the families living below the Indian poverty line, widows and other neglected women in need. We have already initiated various initiatives for Women Empowerment under which 2905 nos. of women from unorganized sector are involved in our operational area . BTS has taken a special drive to strengthen the existing SHGs as well as covering new areas for micro finance propagation towards Women’s Self Reliance and Deserved Social Dignity. |
